教练员培训与考核方面，教练助理培训重点是掌握马术运动理论并能正确普及马术运动知识，熟知马房基本工作要求和方法并能护理马匹；1星至3星专业教练员培训重点是训练理论基础知识和通用训练方法与手段。1星专业教练技术等级可参加初级教练员岗位培训，评审合格后授予初级职称。3星专业教练技术等级可参加中级教练员岗位培训，评审合格后授予中级职称；4星至6星教练员培训注重高水平训练方法与手段传授，4-5星竞技教练技术等级，可参加高级教练员岗位培训，评审合格后授予中级职称。5-6星竞技教练技术等级，可参加国家级教练员岗位培训，评审合格后授予国家级职称。其中具备一定英语水平并能够使用英语执教的4星级竞技教练及以上教练员，可经本协会推荐参加国际马联教练员培训与等级认证。
